10 Finalists chosen for Shakespeare Fest
Ten high school students have been chosen to compete in the Boston finals of the English-Speaking Union's 23d Annual Teen Shakespeare Competition. The finalists, chosen yesterday from 26 competing schools, are:
- Eliza Berger of Concord Academy;
- Emily Yetter of Marblehead High School;
- Linda Strothers of Codman Academy Charter Public School;
- Lauren Robbins of Montrose School in Natick;
- Allen Bradley of Governor Dummer Academy;
- Alexandra Clark of The Winsor School;
- John Oxenford of Cambridge Rindge & Latin School;
- Hannah Sweet of Weston High School;
- Kasey Brown of Philips Exeter Academy; and
- Christina McConnell of Coyle Cassidy High.
The Boston competition finals will be held at the Tufte Performance and Production Center at Emerson College on Sunday, Feb. 5. The winner of the national competition, which will be held in April in New York City, will receive an all-expenses-paid summer Shakespeare study tour in Britain, said a press release from the group.
