Alumni Support:
In the fall of 2007, Codman broke new ground with the creation of an alumni support program for our graduates, the first charter high school in Boston to do so. The core purpose is to help alumni succeed in college and in life. Our goal is not to duplicate college services, but to partner with institutions to problem solve and advocate for students in the need of help and good counsel.
We do this with frequent communication to our graduates, recruitment of mentors when appropriate, campus visits and summer work assistance. We offer programs about financial aid and money management, transition to college, study and time management skills, and networking.
Our 60 percent of alumni give to our annual fund and 90 percent stay connected to the school through special traditions including the annual student/alumni basketball game and leading the procession at Codman graduation.
